Members Wahoo61 Posted May 21, 2013 Members Posted May 21, 2013 I have not been down since last Wed. It looks like the temperature has gone down, presumably from runoff. Still wondering if the top water bite has started or if anyone can advise as to their trip. Tight Lines. Lee.
Evolution Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Fished yesterday (5/20), topwater was decent, caught about a dozen or so using various topwater lures. The action would have been better if it hadn't been for the storm, it shut everything down once it passed through. Tried again afterwards but no dice so I went home. If you can claim a rock on the east side by the fence depending on the water level, you are probably primed to get into some action. Lots of shad jumping but nothing really chasing them down. Lots of carps too, they were swimming on the surface in groups. It's probably best to get into some action this week before the crowds start to show up for memorial day weekend.
