Members lollygagger Posted May 22, 2013 Members Posted May 22, 2013 We stayed at Buck Creek....but was thinking same as you and heading down for a Thursday and half Friday. I can't stand it either. I have stayed in DC only once and seemed were lots of places.
Hojo Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Diamond City Lakeside Resort is just before you get into the park. Pretty decent, good breakfast. Right across the road you have the Brass Bell Cottages or the Sugarloaf Inn. All 3 are good and less than a mile from the water.
Members james Posted May 25, 2013 Author Members Posted May 25, 2013 Thanks for the info, stayed at diamond city resort, nice place, nice people even opened the tackle shop at 10pm so we could restock. The reports from Bry and everyone else were right on, caught lots of fish in the bushes, LM and spots on spooks and spinnerbaits, lots of keepers, also whites, 4 really nice walleye, an even some crappie and a 4.5# smallie. If it was not for the reports on this great forum i might not have gotten to enjoy 2 days of great fishing.
