New To Missouri

Hey all,

I am new to Missouri (St Peters) and new to fly fishing. Still looking to get my first rod and gear as well as getting into fly tying. Figure this site would be a great way to get to know the area and some of the great fishing opportunities around the state.

Welcome to Missouri and to Ozark Anglers, This might help you find some places to fish in your area. http://mdc.mo.gov/fishing/places-fish on the right choose a county, it will list all the Mo Conservation areas.

Welcome! There are many great rivers and streams for smallmouth as well as other species all around. We have of course Taneycomo and several trout parks all over the state. Many of the reservoirs have an annual white bass run which can be a thrill on the fly rod. We are lucky to have so many great opportunities for fishing in Missouri.
