Greg Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Has anyone fished Montauk this winter season? I keep meaning to go - but it's a 2 hour trip for me. Greg "My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it" - Koos Brandt Greg Mitchell
Snow Fly Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Three hr trip one way and I make it a round trip day. Arrive at 9-930am and head east at 4-415pm home by 700pm. The trip is worth the drive. Fished a part of it 11/18 {Sat.} had two others show up in the general area then they left. Caught 40+ ? fish with two being in the 5 lb area. Great waters to fish and you will catch some wild bows in the riffles, you will not have trouble telling them apart from the hatchery bows. Watch the deer & bald eagles in peace and quite.
