Roger that NoLuck, or stuck in a couped up Police car (front seat) trying to take money from good citizens!! I'm getting too old for this crap!

My boss is definately coming down as well as his son. WE need to help him out with his presentation skills. I got him hooked on the fly fishing thing but haven't had a chance to get him out and work with him. Apparently his son was attempting it on his own as well. Going to take him that little indoors fly rod that I bought when I was laid up. Maybe find a couple of youtube videos that are simple and to the point. He want's me to come down to his farm and do some tutoring on one of our days off before he comes down. Will try to especially if he has a pond with no vegatation.

I think he will be there for only a couple of days. My thoughts are to mainly work on the basic roll cast and gut fishing with indicator techniques, mending line etc. If I can get him to think about presentation with an indicator then we can go from there. Still haven't got my cousin past off the indicator. When I say something about dry fly's or swinging a bugger he just says "I'm fine where I'm at got d@##$t!" So I just leave well enough alone and keep feeding him mini jigs, gut flys and lost indicators that I pick up on the stream.

Haven't had a chance to hit the channel cat pond. May not be able to get in there before the trip.

I'll head back down after the kids are in school. It was pretty crowded even in zone 1 two weeks ago. Lots of little ones fishing from the shore and such. Nothing against that

just not the best situation. They deserve to fish too. I helped one young girl net a nice trout because she did not have her net. I stll think i'll wait unitl it's a little less frustrating to fish.

Don't worry about getting fish Pat. If we want to cook up some fish we can run to town and get some tilapia or white fish. A little Red Hot and some Andy's seasoning and it wil be just fine.

Don't worry Pat we will have plenty food . I think 10 lbs of chicken wings and.bbq bergers are a good start.

And might add a few frosty cold ones. Also what else we can cook up.

Jerry,

The week that we go down on vacation it usually isn't too bad crowd wise. Some kids have already started back to school and other activities are under way to keep the big crowds down. Especially through the week days. Sure would be nice to have you down to fish with us.

I know I'm missing out!!! Hopefully wen can get together this fall. I'm taking the Granddaughter to Truman Lake next week for some swimming and crappie fishing. I still have a boat down there since 1985. She is 6 1/2 now and really getting into whatever I'm into. Haven't stuck a fly rod in her hand yet! My last experience with that with her father at that age ended up with me a hook in my neck! Ouch! You guys have fun and enjoy some barley pop for me.
