Looks like the hot weather has shut down the fish bite or the fishermen. I don't see any raving reports lately. I know I am fishing only in the evenings and after dark. The captain can't stand the heat (wife).

We pulled a couple quick limits on walleyes (18-23 inchers) at Diamond City over the Fourth. Bottom bouncers/crawlers on points at 23-25 feet primarily, with a few fish caught deeper (down to 40 feet).

Guess that's old info by now. Headed there again this weekend.

We are only fishing early in morning....5am to 9am. Still picking up a few bass shallow early in 8-10fow. The better fish are on the steep chunk rock banks at 12 to 20fow. The bite has slowed to about half what it was a couple of weeks ago. At least for me. I think it's time to move out to the deep points and humps.
