flyfishmaster Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Yo everyone, I have not been on OAF for some time, since I rarely get time to fish anymore. But the Kitchen Pass has a rubber stamp approval for this weekend and I heading down to BSSP with some of my buddies. They will be fishing in Zone 3 but I will most likely be in Zone 2 (below the bridge) or up in Zone 1 close to the gauge house. How else may be in the area those days? Later, FFM Woo Hoo Fish On!!
NoLuck Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Kim, I may be down one of those days. Depending on what happens Friday I may be down all weekend starting Friday afternoon.
Wayne SW/MO Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 I'll be in the area, but not sure when I'll fish the park Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
brittsnbirds Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 NoLuck just thinks he is getting a jump on the big East vs West showdown!! Where you been FFM? Didn't you have some Britts or was that your brother?
NoLuck Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Who needs a jump??LOL I'm headed down about 3pm or so. I should be there around 6 if I don't get caught in too much traffic. I'll be camping in the new place across from the back entrance of the park. Somebody has to be the guinea pig. Looks like a little weather is headed in too so make sure you bring the rain gear.
Fishmeister Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 NoLuck more details on new campground across from the back entrance of the park. Full hookups, what/where is the back entrance to the park, name of campground? Might give it a try in the future if your experience is good. This will be only my second trip to BSSP, so still learning the area. We usually go to RR, its a tad closer.
NoLuck Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 No problem Fishmiester. I'll give a quick review about the new place when I get back or sometime this weekend. Once my seasonal place is done it won't matter but right now the park has been it for me.
NoLuck Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Ok the place is Hidden Valley Outfitters. It is across from the rear entrance on 64 right by the big Niangua bridge. First impression is its very nice. Nice level pad and nice shower house. Full hook ups with drive through spots. Only bummer is that there is absolutely zero shade. I guess it's a wait and see how rowdy it gets with floaters this weekend. I'll report back Sunday evening.
Fishmeister Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Thanks, NoLuck good luck fishing this weekend.
