Is the water extremely high with the rain? I was thinking of heading up tomorrow and the last few weeks it has been great just wondering with Table Rock rising how high the river is? I appreciate the help if anyone has seen it. Thanks!

Check the swpa site before heading out. They didn't project generation for most of the day today, but tomorrows projection won't be available until after 5. If you do end up going and are going after trout, bring midges, buggers, and a few terrestrials.

River is high. Table rock is backed up into it about 4 feet. There is no current but wade fishing will be tough with the amount of water backed up from table rock.

We fished from the 9th through the 11th. The water level was up despite very little generation occuring from Beaver Dam. The explanation I was given is exactly what was given by sfiser above. I did notice that Tablerock was releasing 39M cf of water per hour almost continuously...I thought perhaps the water level might fall in the Beaver Tailwater as a result. We were able to do some limited wading at the boat ramp and Parker Bottoms. The AGFC stocked trout here on Wednesday so the fishing was pretty good despite the conditions.

I was out there on the 11th. The water at Houseman was 75 degrees and was chocolate milk full of debris. Launched at Bertrand and motored up into the catch and release area. Everything was under water, but it was clear and cold. Caught a lot of fish while they were generating, but when they stopped and the current went away, it got tougher.

I did not realize that the river is a no wake zone from the 62 bridge all the way to the dam. I saw a couple other boats out there running and I swear I had seen some in the past. I was mostly moving slow and being respectful of everyone that was fishing, but ran through the catch and release area on plane for a while (no one was fishing it other than the occasional canoe that would float down). A gentleman fishing in the Parker area politely informed me that the river was no wake. Maybe there's a sign at the 62 bridge or something, but I've fished out there off an on for over ten years and I never knew that. Of course, this was the only time I took a boat up there so I guess I just haven't paid attention.

the river is so full of trash you just about can't drive a boat up from beaver town . full trees, and logs cover the surface . just a heads up ? if this was your plan for the up coming weekends
