I am new to the LIR but I am hooked. Took a little trip over to Marval with the wife (from Norman, OK) to explore and try out the RV for a couple of nights and then back 2 weeks later to fish. Fly rod for trout and big topwater for stripers. I fished on 8-13-13 from 9 am to 3pm and did pretty well. post-15801-0-83929300-1377039771.jpg

8 trout on wooly buggers and 3 stripers on Poppa Dog. 1 very brave trout on the Poppa Dog. The bait was half the size of the fish. Caught the conditions just right. Falling water all day and mostly overcast.

Trying to fish around the generation schedules is a pain when you can't even make a plan until the evening before. Fortunately I can go pretty much any day.

Try upriver, water is cooler. Watts is good and below the dam and gravel parking lot below dam is good.
