Lancer09 Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Just a question for everyone. I have been down a couple of nights over the last few weeks and it seems that it is again just a little bit different than before they last opened the flood gates a few weeks ago. Down from outlet three and the tree there seems to be less gravel bar during low water on the hatchery side of the lake than there used to be with it being replaced with some knee deep still water. I just know I was not able to wade as far down river as in the past without getting too deep. Has anyone else noticed any difference?
Members mchunter Posted September 12, 2013 Members Posted September 12, 2013 Yes sir, I noticed that too. We were down over Labor Day and during the day I was fishing from our boat below Lilley's Landing. One night I decided to go up to the dam and wade fish below outlet 3 where it widens out. I had night fished there earlier this year and done well. This time there was water over most of the gravel bar with the same generation I had fished before when there was not. Anyway, for safety's sake I went and fished up nearer the cable towards dam. I don't like fishing a place in the dark that I am not familiar with! MCHUNTER
Lancer09 Posted September 12, 2013 Author Posted September 12, 2013 It's not like it has caused a lot of problems for me, and I think it probably makes fishing even better with a boat, there just seems to be less current, or I just have yet to find it.
