McManus Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 I hate that! I grew up going to Kellogg Lake and fishing on Spring River near Carthage. "Many go fishing all their lives without knowing it is not fish they are after." Henry David Thoreau
LostMyWife Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 That second reading is off the charts. We do water samples on our lake every week. They are sent to the EPA, and they determine if we can leave the lake open. We have 3 beaches, so we are regulated. Every year the e-coli readings get high. It normally happens after a heavy rain. We have a huge population of ducks and geese for a lake our size. The have to go somehwere, and so far we can't get them to use the porta-johns. So high e-coli isn't always a problem, but I never seen one that high. Yes, I'm That Guy
