Walleye For Shore

Hi, I am here in Branson near Bull Shoals and am boatless. Are there any good places to fish from shore this time of year? We shore fish Walleye this time of year in MI and use cranks or jigs with a Mr. Twister. That the right way to target them?

I think you may have posted this question in the wrong part of the forum. You need to post it into the Upper Bull Shoals section to get the best results. Me and a buddy was down around Forsyth on Bull Shoals and caught a couple short walleye while bluegill fishing with worms. The walleye fishing down here is probably not as good as where you're from, so be patient is my advice. And yes the same techniques should work. Stickbaits are popular down there also.

I suggested he put it here given the fact the good side of the pothole no longer exists. I know they catch a few in the James, but don't know the extent. I do know it is more assessable than BS now.

There is really no walleye in the james aside from the odd one every now and then. In 16 years fishing the james very often i have only picked up 5 or so.
