Threw a black and blue buzzbait last 3 hrs of day on Sun. with great success. Hooked up about 15 times landing bout 10. Mostly largemouth with some real good ones. Lost one that would have been a solid 5 lbs. I got a real good look at him so that helped temper my tears.........Hope that topwater bite will last a bit longer.

I caught only 1 on the buzzbait sunday.

Most of the bass were caught on jigs or worms.

They were spitting out crawfish too.

Its about to get really good with this cooldown.

The topwater bite will morph into a suspending jerkbait deal after thanksgiving as the water cools into the lower 50's.

Your buzzbait bite will last longer then you think, but 50 degrees is the cut off.

Its currently sitting at 64 degrees, which is a 12 degree drop since early sept.

The jig & worm bite will be dominant during leaf drop, which is just beginning.

I want to see huge mats of floating leaves in a line where current is pushing them against a steep bank.

This leaf mat phenomena only lasts a few weeks, but early to mid November is peak.

I pitch a texas rigged baby brush hog with a 1/4oz tungsten weight, pegged.

They will suspend under those mats just like grass/moss fish will do.

My very best days are during the November rifle season, always where an orange hat or vest,

You can never been too cautious.

I can show you exactly what Im doing, next time Im up there fishing.

Those are some nice looking moss backs.

I broke off 3 of those size bass on sunday. :noway:

Set the hook way too hard on line that needed to be changed out.

Rookie mistake, that I shouldn't be making.
