Here's a link to a GoPro video I shot this past Monday on the Little Red River. Lots of fun. Enjoy!

Good video thanks for posting! I have a question, as I'm a little ignorant to a few of the strategies I see on here. What is the point of the guy paddling in the middle of the boat on this river? I see there is a trolling motor on the front, why not just use that for minor corrections? Is it a noise thing? Easier to move the boat from the middle to offer better casts for the two fishermen? It just seems like those long oars would get in the way. I've drifted rivers in drift boats up in Wyoming and Montana and we use the oars in that case, but they are much faster moving rivers for the most part. Just curious about the application in this situation.

Great video! I haven't fished that river since last winter, but used to fish it a lot "via my original username..lol". Lobo is where i usually put in, love the deep runs and moss beds on that stretch. Caught a 22 inch brown about 3 years ago in the very stretch you where fishing. I guess Lobo got there dock fixed up? Last time I was there was after that 17 inch snow, it collapsed the roof on the dock.

As far as the question on paddling a Supreme, several of the guides up there do it. I use my trolling motor, but I guess they can keep proper boat position better, and maybe it's more subtle. Very neat river to fish, can't wait to get back down there this winter!

There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

Flatbottom Boy-

LitleRedFisherman it really is a preferance thing. I've fished with guys that use paddles and guys that used their trolling motor. I will say that I personally think that paddles are much quieter than using yout trolling motor. Glad you enjoyed the video!

LittleRedFisherman-

Glad you enjoyed the video. The dock is repaired and back up and running. I love the stretch of Lobo too. Fished it again yesterday and even with windy/rainy/low water conditions we still scrapped a out dozen or so with a couple of 17-18" rainbows. Did a little wading at Cow Shoals yesterday afternoon after Lobo and saw the yellow bellies are starting to get active. Gonna be a fun few weeks on the river. Hope you can get back soon.
