Witness the journey of five men, hurt in Iraq and Afghanistan, to Montana and toward recovery.

"Not Yet Begun to Fight" focuses on five warriors who join retired Marine Colonel Eric Hastings for a week of fly-fishing in Montana through the Warriors and Quiet Waters Foundation. Hastings, who flew missions “high above the death and destruction” in Vietnam, returned home to Montana in 1969 battling dark dreams.

His solace was fly-fishing.

Montana-based directors Sabrina Lee and Shasta Grenier shadow Colonel Hastings as he reaches out to a new generation of traumatized combat veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan. Through the Warriors and Quiet Waters Foundation, he leads five remarkable, intense and vulnerable young men (three marines, a soldier and a Navy SEAL) to the quiet waters of Montana. His mission is to help them find their way through the space between the war they have just left behind and the new battles they face.

"Not Yet Begun to Fight", will air on PBS on November 9 at 7pm, and nationwide on PBS’ World Channel at various times November 11, 12, 16 and 17.

That was powerful stuff.... Elliott, the one who used the iPad for his voice, was the most inspirational to me.

Sure was great to see the guy who put it all together get emotional about his first trout also.

You can watch the entire full length video from the second link in my first post. (the pbs.org one)

Wow. Just wow. I have a family with a strong military background in my family history and I saw so much of my grandpas, uncles and cousins in this film. The baggage that these guys carry - physical and mental - is not something that its comprehensible among those that haven't lived it. I love my Country and those that serve(d) it.

I wish I had more time more than I wish I had more money.

Just watched the entire video. EXCELLENT!!!!! Should of been workin but took an hour out of my day to watch it and very glad I did. Very small sacrifice compared to these Veterans, as well as many others, huge sacrifices. A very heartfelt THANKS to all Veterans both retired and currently serving!!!!!!!

Thanks Brian S. for the links.
