Pretty little things aren't they? I've been itching to fish Crane. I'll have to hit it soon.

If fishing was easy it would be called catching.

They certainly are. I will take fish like that over stockers any day. I saw a few bigger ones today but they were in very slow water and very shy. Fished one school that had 3 over 15" today for an hour with no luck. I would go one way they would go the other. Back and forth for an hour.

They are smart fish.

Everyone likes to talk about how hard they are to catch. They aren't hard to catch, just gotta be sneaky. I have had to fish from my belly numerous times, especially when the creek is low. Try bigger flies next time and that will thin out some of those small fish. Although, those little guys are so dang beautiful with their parr marks and white fins. Love that place. I need to get back up there....
