Gentlemen,

I should clear something up. Mr. JD Dudley is a good friend and was just giving me a hard time. He used to be an avid trout fisherman but has switched over to primarily bass fishing. He even won the Central Pro-Am a couple of years ago. I was just joking around with him.

Slidergrub, I am interested as to what makes you assume I am a novice? I was trying to figure out how to respond to that assumption, but rather than get offended, I'd rather open up the conversation and maybe we can learn a little about each other.

I can definitely see how that looked a little "fishy" (see what I did there?). Clay, thanks for the word and to anyone else reading, I was messing with him and expected that kind of response to my questions about Cotter... we've been known to pull a trick or two on each other. We've also spent alot of time fishing together on the river and he can certainly hold his own over there and really anywhere for that matter as shown by his picture with the fish he's holding! Heck of a nice guy and would give you the shirt off his back. All of that to say, the fact that Clay responded the way he did about being called a "Novice" should confirm that he knows what fishing is all about... trying to help anyone and everyone succeed! Well done Clay! Maybe slidergrub thought novice meant something different... heck, I just had to look up what that meant after thinking it was a compliment.

I remember when that happened...literally. And thanks for the kind words, buddy. When are you guys going to start White Bass fishing? Hint Hint to call me...

No worries at all BFTMASTER... Completely understandable! I wish I could get out there to fish a little bit, but HS baseball has me locked down until at least mid-May. I might be able to scratch out a couple of hours, but it's looking pretty doubtful after last nights game... got a lot of work to do! Hope all goes well for you buddy! Good luck on the water!

No white bass for me this year unless we get a night off from baseball. I will say this though... I'll be taking Jr. over to the river a bunch this summer! He's loving it, especially after all the fish he caught a few weeks ago up at Phil's. It's been 4 years since I've been over there (I know... a bunch of bass fishing, blah, blah, blah although he's done really well in some bass tournaments we've fished!), but I'm ready to see him get into some sight fishing on Norfork and hooking into a hog like Colton caught last weekend. REALLY looking forward to it! Do you guys get over there much during the summer?

I am going to be taking my girls over there, hopefully a lot, this summer. They love being in the boat but from a fishing standpoint, they are a bit young to be spending full days on the water. I imagine we will hit Dry Run a lot, trying to get them hooked on fishing... (see what I did there) We missed you at the Supreme Tournament. I let out a yell for you when they were announcing the boat ticket... They gave the first three numbers, which every ticket matches, and I gave them the "YEAH!"

Clay, you get those kids hooked on Dry Run Creek, and they will be disappointed in every other river they fish, LOL.
