I caught the brown on a sculpin I tie. I tie the sculpin out of austrailian possum. I catch lots of browns here at the park on pheasant tails, caddis nymphs, they seem to like beetles and ants in the summer and I've caught a lot of browns here on woolybuggers.

Yes 10" fish are now a thing of the past for you, during the C&R season there are many, many 3 to 5 pound rainbow trout around, and there are a lot of nice 16"-18" browns around and several much bigger.

I have a choice to make. My fiancee wants to go fishing one more time before the baby comes (also to take pictures of eagles) and to read out in the wilderness. I might come down pretty soon. Depends on her.

I fished a bit below the park last week, the water is still up a bit, it is still low but better than it has been, I fished just upstream from the cemetary and caught a few, but I'm sure the fishing would have been better if I had went on upstream, it was a few weeks ago. The eagles are best seen in the middle of the week, they go up high most of the time when there are lots of people in the park, monday can be good if there are not a lot of fisherman in the zone 2 area. Put a bugger or a sculpin on if you go down there, sometimes a glo-ball will work but I use a brown or a olive bugger or mohair in that area most of the time, the fish seem to key in on the heavy sculpin and minnow populations down there, not much top water action on that part of the river. Good luck.
