retroaction man Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 I am currently in the market for waders and i would like some advice. I want to purchase a pair that i can use all year around (if possible) do breathable waders keep you warm enough during our winter months? I would imagine that during the summer months neoprene waders would get way too hot. right now i think the best way to go about this is get breathable and layer under them. also im looking at simms and hodgeman although i DID notice yesterday that sportsmans wearhouse has them for cheaper.. thoughts? thanks in advance
Guest flyfishBDS Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Gday mate, you can't go past breathable waders The great thing is they keep you dry from the water your standing in and the stuff you sweat out. The key is tho wearing the proper clothing underneath winter and summer. I listed a couple of links below to help you out Also sent you a PM on some of our wader deals, I reckon we can save you more money than sportsmans but i don't want to clutter the board up with sales pitches. Just drop by and have a look we can run through the pros and cons on waders as well. Hell during summer waders are often my single most worn item of clothing Cheers Steve Great article by Bill Butts on what to wear under your waders here Under wader wear Good thread on choosing waders here Wader Thread
