Members Engr5 Posted April 13, 2014 Members Posted April 13, 2014 Fished the Joe Bass out of Kimberling City. We caught a small limit on jerk baits in the Baxter area. Caught a lot of small fish also. Saw some beatiful smallmouths weighed in and many nice limits. For the second tournament the A rig dominated by people who put in the effort to locate the fish and I applaud them and acknowledge they earned by thier efforts and not a majic bait. Will this (A-rig) be the case in May or is there a time/season that the A rig method is less effective? I guess I need to learn this method also as I have not yet been willing to put in the time. Thank you.
jmes Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 From my experience as the water gets warmer the Rig bite will gradualy taper off, We are starting to see that now in different parts of the lake now. As from all the differnt reports we are starting to see all of this happening
Members swelbo1 Posted April 13, 2014 Members Posted April 13, 2014 Speaking of water temps, what's the temp down in Long Creek? I have been wondering the same thing about the A-Rig bite as far as what the temps are?
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 the temps at long were 54-59 yesterday before the rain, yes they are still biting the A-RIG in that area too
