Greg Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Steve Can you tell me the best way to get to the Beaver Tailwater from Springfield MO? Distance from Springfield? I'm off the next week and would like to try somewhere new. Also is your store close to the water? Steve Smith Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 I'm not the Steve your asking, but I'd take 60 west out of Springfield to Monett. Turn right or south on 37 to the Arkansas border and then take 62 east to Hwy 187. The Dam and Steve's shop are on 187. The main be shorter routes, but this one is straight for at least 90% of the way. ___________________________ AKA Flysmith - Cassville MO

Guest flyfishBDS Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Gday Greg, look forward to seeing you down here. Sorry I wasn't able to reply earlier was moving apartment. Anyway the link below gives you a mapquest page on getting from Springfield to here. Yes the store is about 3-5 minutes from the water depending on where you go. Gray bleak days have been good. Had a good friend and client of mine get an 18" bow just 2 days before Christmas. Scuds, Midges are good, woollies always work and there has been some spectacular dry fly on occassions if you get lucky. Give me a call if you need any more information click on the link to our webpage. Cheers Steve Driving Directions
