Members DarrenWatson Posted December 31, 2006 Members Posted December 31, 2006 No signifigant water running the 3 days I was there. landed well over 100 fish the 3 days. mostly on size 16-18 scuds. Didn't land a trophy but had about a dozen over 14", and a couple over 16". The fish seem to be really fat and are not too leader shy. It was my fist time at the White and will be back. I fished around Cotter, and enjoyed my trip.
RiverRunner Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Darren, Did you have access to a boat, or did you just wade from the accesses? The White has been tough on me lately and it makes me feel better to hear a good report
Members DarrenWatson Posted December 31, 2006 Author Members Posted December 31, 2006 I brought my Drift Boat but didn't use it. I fished at the lower end of Rim Shoals, Cotter Access and Roudhouse area. I think those are the names it was my first time. As long as you had a good drift I would get a strike.
John Berry Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Like River Runner I have had pretty tough fishing lately. It seems one day is good the next mean. John Berry OAF CONTRIBUTOR Fly Fishing For Trout (870)435-2169 http://www.berrybrothersguides.com berrybrothers@infodash.com
