Members mudman Posted June 30, 2014 Members Posted June 30, 2014 Looked at water levels and took trip on short notice. Sunburst full. Drove the 7-1/2 hours and stayed at Lost Cabins Resort. Put in at Hebron at 11:30 on Saturday. Water was perfect. Only drug 4-5 times. Caught 2 goggle eye and 12 SM. Did not fish real hard. Pulled canoe over and fished good spots after runs. Had 3 that were 14". All released. All caught on 1/8 oz. zig jig, orange head ginger/olive, Took out at Lost Cabins about 2 miles below twin bridges at 5:30. Had dinner cooked just as downpour began, By putting in late we saw less than 20 other canoes. Peaceful and beautiful float, Small river up there. River level was at 577 CFS. North Fork is really a treasure. Planned to float Sunday but rain and poor forecast put us back on road at 11 am,
sean c Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 Good call Sunday it rained and stormed hard starting about 1:00 only lasted an hour or so. Wade fished for trout a little yesterday it was good. Doing Hammond to Blair today. The water color and flows are really good for this time of year.
