LittleRedFisherman Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Looking to get a cable type foot controlled trolling moter. Looking at Minn Kota Edge 70, or a moterquide brute 70? I found a company that is selling the moterguide one at a discount, but lately I've heard some say minn kota way to go. Anyone familiar with either of these. I know there lower end, but think they would work for me for now.. There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

Now that being said, the MG broke a steering cable on it's 12th year. So really, I don't think you can go wrong. I'd go with the best price! @lozcrappie

I've got a moterguide wireless on the river jon, and it worked good for 3 years, then the board melted internally. it was gonna cost so much I bought another one, but liked the moter up to that. On this deal, I just ordered a Minn Kota Edge 70, price about what I wanted, and I wanted the cable type, I think I like that better than wireless myself. There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
