Members Fishin Maniac Posted January 8, 2007 Members Posted January 8, 2007 Just floated the Jacks Fork and came accross an injured Bald Eagle about 1-2 miles below the teachers resort. He couldn't fly. Tried to call ONSR and got a taped message. The eagle would appreciate it if someone could send him some help. He was with a Female and a juvenile male.
bikehikefish Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I forwarded your post to the World Bird Sanctuary in St. Louis. Maybe they know someone to contact in the Emminence area.
polock Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 would be be possible to get close to it.. could you get some tranks in like with a heavy gauge needle and go get the bird and take to him and he could atleast give it fluids and keep it sedated until bird people let him know what to do with it?
3wt Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 I wouldn't shoot anything at our national symbol unless you want to spend some time in jail, or have specific authority to sedate it. Hopefully the World Bird Sanctuary people will be able to help.
