Crappie Fishing

Are the crappie or anything below the dam eating.... Besides gar?

Caught hybrids up above the dam, but did not try below. I would think something should be since they still have a gate open.

Nope, went today (9/15) and only caught two bass. Fishing is slow at the moment. Rarely any fishermen but those who were fishing, were after catfish. Did see an individual throw everything in his fishing box and had nothing to show for it when I left. They need to run water to make any kind of fishing worthwhile, which they have not done for a week or so now. Early morning or night fishing might be your best bet but I gave up at 6pm or so. If you are driving through forested area be careful and slow down, deers are on the move. Almost hit a nice looking buck while making the drive back home.
