jolicious Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Don't bother. They are all tailgating at the High game today, and tomorrow the NFL will be on all day. Fished from 9:00 to 2:00 with only one bite which ended up wrapped in a tree - which then led to a broken rod. I am pretty sure my yard needs to be mowed....
J-Doc Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 To piggy back on this report (get it? "Piggy" back? Lol) I agree. It's a super tough bite. I fished from just after dark till around 1:30am with crappie minnows and only got one crappie. Had to be moving the bait to get bit. Used submersible light and had hundred of minnows under boat with me. Water was dead calm and very very little topwater strikes. Fished a spinnerbait for a few hours in the shallow and deeper water and only got one bass. And for some reason, the fish think I'm Bill Dance and want to be on TV because I'm plagued with catching catfish. I also trolled around d midnight for about a mile and marked lots of little fish and the lake is starting to turn over. Lots of junk floating up. Lake turnover probably explains the tough bite.
