Hello, my name is Fox Statler and I have been fly fishin' a couple of times. I have caught a couple of trout, a few smallmouth, one or two longeared sunfish. I don't own a woolly bugger. I built a couple rods and guide for a while. Phil said he need some help on the Arkansas Spring River forum and since I have been there and fell in a couple of times he thought I was qualified enough to forumize on it. So look for me over there.

P.S. I also own a store called Willow Ford in Mountain Home, AR. We sell Gator-Tail Outboards, Legend Craft

Aluminum boats, Spirit River Tying Materials, Fox Statler's Innovative Fly Fishing Instruments (fly rods), Dorber Blanks, Crocs Footwear, Jammer Canoes, and Willow Ford Signature Series Boats and Canoes. I design flies for Spirit River Inc., fishing instruments, boats, and canoes. Our first canoe is a Jammer Riverglide HF (hands free, foot controlled bow mount trolling motorn canoe). Soon to come out is our Skim Jack Boat for both the rivers and lakes. Next we are considering developing catamaran fishing vessel. My web site is www.willowford.net My site is filled with minnow recipes, tying articles, fly fishing articles, boats, motors, canoes, and more. So come visit us.

Hello Fox,

Just spent some time studying your website, specifically your special motor and some of your baitfish and worm patterns.

Very nice site and I would highly suggest that any fly fisher spend some serious time reading and considering this valuable info that you have obviously spent many years developing, whether they are trout or smallmouth fishers or anything else in the Ozarks.

We have found that even whites and stripers/hybrids enjoy something besides shad. I would if I was one of those fish. Man, have you ever accidentally snagged a shad and had to hold it in your hand to unhook it? Your hand will stink at least the rest of that day and maybe the next. We've found that some patterns that most closely suggest the river minnow colors, and crayfish, are very good producers.

I will have some questions for you after I spend some more time studying.

Thanks again,

BB

Fox - we are very fortunate to have you on board.

Your fly pattern knowledge will be a true asset to everyone, and your overall time and effort spent in the field of fly fishing / fly tying and just overall being an avid outdoorsman.
