Brian Sloss Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Got out in the drift boat for a day of fun (not a guide trip) with a couple of great guys, Matt "Superfly" and Brian from Springfield. We caught plenty of fish and various things, but more important being deep was most important. Seams between fast and slow water were important. We had a great time and plenty of fish were caught, though we would have caught more if the water were about 6 inches shallower. The fish of the day was caught by Brian, an 18 inch beauty caught in the shoal before Mary Decker shoals. A pic will be posted as soon as Matt emails it to me. Hope we don't get too much rain this weekend as the river doesn't need it right now. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497

superfly Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Brian, Thanks again for a great January day on the 11 point. Your expertise and education of the river is greatly appreciated. The drift boat is an experince that I will not forget. I look forward to my next adventure on the river. Superfly
Members Midge Posted January 12, 2007 Members Posted January 12, 2007 Brian, I also wanted to thank you for the trip out yesterdy. I had a good time and learned a lot. I hope to get to the 11 point agian soon. Thanks, Bryan W.
Brian Sloss Posted January 13, 2007 Author Posted January 13, 2007 Hey guys, I had a great time as well and I hope we can fish together again sometime. Only next time Brian can't fish a spot right after me. I can't take him pulling a good fish out of a spot I'd been fishing 5 minutes earlier again! By the way, sorry the report was so poorly written, I was beat down tired when I wrote it. Bitch creek stones, Golden stones, Brown stones, eggs, yellow prince nymphs, and I think a Don's crawdad took the big fish. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
superfly Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Costanza, Just because you were sick or your wife would not let you go fishing that day is know reason to make fun of Bryan's 18 inch rainbow. I guess you still don't feel good or need your eyes checked. Superfly
Members Midge Posted January 16, 2007 Members Posted January 16, 2007 Costanza and Superfly, That's alright Superfly. Our good buddy Costanza (as he aparently calls himself)was just too embarassed to come when you told him I was going. He can't stand to be outfished by a novice. Don't worry Costanza, I'll teach you everything I know next time your willing to go fishing with me. The fish was caught on Don's crawdad. Maybe Costanza will go with us next time Superfly.
Members C-Bass Posted January 18, 2007 Members Posted January 18, 2007 I concur w/ George Costanza. It looks like a 14/15 incher all right . My eyes are as sharp as the hooks I use and I know a smaller fish when I seen one.
