Members ksmybass Posted December 10, 2014 Members Posted December 10, 2014 Only one I've caught --- actually Donna caught it --- was on a drop shot while fishing a bridge piling. That's funny you say that.. I caught one on the 86 bridge... a 21in lunker rainbow on a drop shot! grandma and grandpa say some big browns have been caught around there dock a few coves away! I figured they came from the beaver dam!?!
rps Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 My friend Larry caught a Brown that weighed 7 pounds on a spring scale just above Beaver town. I have caught four or five between Beaver town and Eagle Rock, usually while trolling a late summer thermocline below 20 feet. As the water temps where I am are virtually the same temps as down to the 86 bridge, I am not surprised that they scatter. What I find interesting is the fact the ones I've caught "outside" trout waters are all beautifully colored and large.
