Went up today. Got on the water about 11:00. Tried 45 to 50 feet deep where I thought they might be with water temp at 38.

Nothing for the first couple of hours then tried 35 to 40 feet. Found them at that depth.

Caught fish the rest of the afternoon but it was slow and very light bite. Kept 10 nice crappie. We just finished up eating them for supper. My those crappie out of deep cold water are awful tasty.

Was fishing the cedar ridge area. Both ramps are open. There is ice starting around the 245 bridge, very thin, will probably melt there in the next couple of days. Did not go all the way to state park but seen a sailboat come out of there. Had a couple of bald eagles flying around. Great day on the water.
