Hello everyone, I will be making a trip up to Stockton this weekend with my wife and havent really ever done much fishing up there. I have been looking at the forums and a some maps and was thinking of putting boat (19ft deep V) in at mutton creek. I primarily fish for bass or crappie but am also interested in fishing for whites (Pretty much whatever is biting). If anyone has any advice on locations, fishing lures, or techniques it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Our club is actually launching out of Mutton on Saturday morning. This time of year it can vary day to day. Spinnerbaits, small cranks, squarebills, shaky heads, small jigs, and etc. All seem to produce for me this time of year. Last weekend I was catching them on a jerkbait as well. Hopefully someone will have a more recent report for you.

Yea I figured it was kind of that time of the year and the type of weather where Im gonna just have to try out some different things and see what works. Thanks for the advice though. Good luck out there on Saturday.

I can tell you they bite fairly well 8 miles south ... We never had a chance for any thing nice tho . As for mutton creek we saw nice 1 1/2 pound whites surfacing in mouth. Didn't look hard to catch in my opinion. Good luck
