Members jigfishin Posted January 22, 2007 Members Posted January 22, 2007 Just got back from a trip to tanney, fishing was very tough for me on Friday went to the cable by boat, all units running water, caught a few fish, all on 1/8 ounce jigs either sculpin or white. Spent the afternoon below fall creek, all the way to Bee creek could not find any slower water. The day was very tough for me. Saturday my partner and I had fished the masters, we started at 8:00am, at 8:25 we had a limit of small fish found between scottys boat marine and the 65 bridge. I was catching them on sculpin jigs(3/32) and my partner was catching them on float and an egg pattern. Two units of water running. Spent the day culling fish trying to upgrade, caught close to 40 fish between my partner and I. Fished monkey Island to the 65 bridge most of the day. Sunday we went back out at about 10:00 am and fished to 3:30pm. We fished from fall creek to short creek for several passes, caught some nice fish, contunied down stream to cooper creek and my partner caught a nice brown, close to 20, did not measure. On a sculpin jig (3/32). Spent most of the day throwing white and sculpin jigs, caught two really nice rainbows at monkey island on white jigs, probably in the 1 1/2 to 2 pound range. Sunday was a great day of fishing, caught many bigger fish, wish I could have caught those fish on Saturday. It was a great weekend considering I did not catch many fish on Friday, okay none......my partner caught them all!!!
Members alletec Posted January 23, 2007 Members Posted January 23, 2007 Sounds like you found the fish and what they wanted. Great job. Where you bouncing the bottom or with a flote? I am going to be down from St.Louis on Wed. to Fri. with my Father and Brother. Hope we do as well as you did. Thanks for the info, I will let every one know how we faired. Jeff Jeff Alley
