dnj21 Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Got down late Friday the 20th, fished the last hour in Zone 1. Pretty quiet and not many people around. Hooked a few on black zebra midge. Saturday morning started in Zone 2 with the little one. She caught a nice one early on with multi colored glo ball below indicator, but the cold got to her soon after. I fished until 10, missed a few but not a lot going on. Found a nice hatch of small black flies at the spring right before dark, which was fun for the last few minutes. Park Ranger was beside me writing tickets for fishing bait to three younger gentlemen as the evening whistle blew. Ton of people, crowded all day. Sunday morning was our best fishing. 3 1/2 yr old caught a smaller one in zone 2 right off the bat on her favorite glo ball, but we could not get anything else to take. Around 9am they headed out and I hooked several on red zebra midge. Nephew and I moved up to the bridge and had a lot of fun for about an hour on small midges in several colors. Went back in to zone 1 after lunch and only hooked one, but watched a family on one of the handicap piers get caught by Park Ranger using Power Bait and had about a dozen fish on one stringer. Glad I am not paying that ticket. brittsnbirds 1
NoLuck Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 It's about time they started ticketing rules breakers. I watched 2 young guys fishing the the hatchery outflow in the high bank hole fishing with plastic worms. I saw the CO's In zone 1 checking people for limits and licenses and I told them about the rampant use of plastics and power bait I've seen and they give me a business card and told me to call them. If the kids were mistaken its one thing. But I told them the rule and they just shook it off. Pure blatant disregard of the rules. brittsnbirds 1
brittsnbirds Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Get em!! "What we're dealing with here is a complete lack of respect for the law." Sheriff Buford T. Justice I agree Rich, if someone are messing up by mistake and don't know where the zones are that's one thing. You suggest they check it out but they disregard the ability to have a little "voluntary compliance" then I say it's NUGGET TIME (that's what we call an appointment with the clerk). I would hate to bother a Conservation Agent on his day off but if they are handing out business cards??
