Planning My first trip to Pomme

Hi there,

I'll start by saying I'm new to the forum, but from what I've read it's a great place! I'm originally from Springfield but now live in KC for school. A good buddy of mine I used to work with asked if I'd fish a co-worker tournament with him on the 25th at Pomme and I couldn't turn down an opportunity to get out on the water. Neither of us have ever fished Pomme so I feel completely out of my elements there. We are going to make a trip up there the weekend before the tournament to try and locate some spots to key in on for the following weekend. I believe he said we are launching from Nemo. Does anybody have any suggestions or willing to help out a couple young guys that love to fish. Everything I've heard as of right now is that they are biting jerk baits and wiggle warts, but as to where I have no clue. Any advice is greatly appreciated and if any of you all are fishing in the Mercy Hospital Co-worker tournament good luck to you.

Welcome to the Forum! I am pretty much brand new here too but this place is full of great information and great people!

Now on to the bass fishing...

This is my guess, on the 25th of April, I will probably be flipping jigs at every piece of structure I could find. Crankbaits and spinnerbaits will be on the front deck of my boat and some type of super secret creature bait will be along side them. Pomme is incredibly clear in some places so lighter line possibly could help and keep a little distance between you and your target. Keep reading fishing reports on here while you are waiting to fish it. I write one every time I fish and try to post it on here.
