My wife is an award-winning, degreed artist/printmaker/designer from Germany. Most of her work focuses on wildlife and nature, but not all. Her style is technically pop art, but the themes are usually not modern or urban. Instead, they are usually mythological (esp. Native American) or nature. She uses bold, custom-mixed colors; unique and innovative texture; and bold designs that would lend themselves well to stained glass or mosaics. In fact, she also designs her own needlepoint work and works in the mosaic tile medium. She only does fine art as a hobby now, but that consists mostly of commission pieces for collectors. She was a full-time professional artist/designer for a long time and made a good living at it. She used to be the artist-in-residence for the Henrietta Wildlife Foundation, one of Dr. Jane Goodall's projects.
