Anyone got a report on the water conditions and how the fish are biting at Cape Fair and Piney Creek?

Planning on a trip down there tomorrow and would like some info on that area, if it is available. Thanks for the help.

Fished piney creek and area for 4 hours yesterday morning. Didn't get back there until around 7:30.. There was a little top water action at that time, but was pretty much done for the day.

Water was a little more stained than usual and there was quite a bit of debris at the point 13 entrance. Started out in the back on shallow gravel points and netted a nice LM (just shy of 4 lbs) on the ned. Ended up working the steeper banks and got a nice 18" small mouth. Biggest one I have caught in a while. Other than that the morning was filled with smalls.

They seemed to like various creature baits, neds, and had a little action on some spook jrs.

Thanks for the info, I will be down there fairly early in the morning giving it a try. Hope it works out for a good day.

I made it down to Piney fairly early for me this morning, I was fishing by about 7 a.m. and didn't get a bite until about 9 or so. The water has a lot of color in it, visibility only about a foot or so at the most. My day was not good at all, only caught two shorts and that was it, left around noon for cooler places.

Seems to be a chore to catch fish on that side of the lake here lately.
