Catfishing in the Finley?

I am in Ozark for the weekend at my grandparents house for a family reunion type thing.  They live on the Finley across from the park last house before the old mill.  I am an avid catfish/flathead enthusiast.  I have never brought my gear down here because I never hear too many good things about the fishing here.  But this year I decided to bring my gear.  I usually fish throughout the night on the Kansas river but it is a way diffrent system than this.  Basically, where if any, do I go to find any catfish.  I brought my 12 foot throw net hoping to catch bait fish but if there arent any good fish to be found than I dont even need to get it out.  Someone please help me out.  Im here once every couple years so you dont have to worry about me over fishing an area, just looking for some good flatheads first and channel cat if need be.  I can find them I just need a  starting point but remember I am limited on resources and am fishing from the bank.  

 

Also, are there alot of poisonous snakes around or mountain lions?

There are some catfish in the Finley, but it's not a great river for them.  It's more of a smallmouth and goggle eye river.  I wouldn't waste my time anywhere around the park.  There is some good spots downstream of Ozark.
