Members stlfishin Posted October 3, 2015 Members Posted October 3, 2015 Hi, New guy here hoping for some boat performance wisdom; I'm wondering if anyone is running a Blazer 1652 flat jon with a 40/30 2-stroke? I picked one up a few weeks back with an older 40/30 Evinrude console steer. I'm having several engine parts along with the liner & impeller replaced to get it back to par. It's currently running too small a TM, a 40# 12V . I am strongly considering moving it up to a 24 volt, 80# TM with batteries just to the rear of the front deck; my 1752 Blazer sport had an 80# & forward battery placement and jumped right on plane with the TM moving well upstream in the Meramec. If anyone is running a similar rig, I'd sure appreciate hearing from you on your performance observations; top speed, planing time, static draft and any other tips you may share. Thanks to all,
hoglaw Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Hey STL, might want to post this one in the boats section of the foum. Might get a few more eyes on it that way. My jet is a fiberglass river john, so I don't know that my opinions would be helpful. Welcome to the board!
