Launched the boat and fished Sunday afternoon below the dam from 2pm to 5:30pm. Used rogues, gitsits and deer tail jigs. Hooked five fat and sassy rainbows, nothing else. Vince

I am new to this and have been reading about the walleye fishing on Bull Shoals. I am from Carlyle and enjoy catching sauger and walleye but one problem the walleye are a very scarce catch. If you catch 2 a year you are lucky. I go to Taney every year and trout fish I just started staying at Lilley's and what a nice place hands down beats every other place. Where is it exactly that you guys fish by the powersite, do you fish around the island or do you just follow the channel up to Swan Creek. Any info would help that way when I am reading this I would know where you guys are talking. Thanks

Probably the most popular areas are the banks immediately below Powersite dam, because of the easy access to all. The "Island" is more commonly known as the Rockpile. Boaters fish all the way to Barker Hole which is about a couple of miles east of the 76 bridge. Beaver creek is another nearby area thats popular with boaters. Swan in itself doesn't produce much.

Lilley's isn't too far away to make a trip to the pothole, and its easy enough to find.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
