Moon phases and fishing

I read an interesting article on news-leader.com in the life section this morning about moon phases and fishing. Just wondering if anyone else read that and what they thought? He talks about his experiences with bass... just wondering if any of you use lunar tables for trout and other fish?

Pat,

This is a subject matter that has been debated for well over a 100 years or more in the trout and salmon world.

There may well be some related factors to how well or otherwise good or bad fishing will be.

As yet l have seen no conclusive proof that is the case

I do not know of any person who determines his day to fish by moon phases, l certainly do not.

Just go fish and deal with each day and the prevailing conditions that exist.
