Members BuschTrout22 Posted February 21, 2007 Members Posted February 21, 2007 Taking the camera, hoping to get some shots of the damage that is going on, and some other shots of the river. Anyone else going to be fishing this weekend? Thunderstorms likely on Sat, so hopefully tomorrow and Fri are great "Then in the Arctic half-light of the canyon, all existence fades to a being with my soul and memories and the sounds of the Big Blackfoot River and a four-count rhythm and the hope that a fish will rise." - Norman Maclean
Danoinark Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Good deal. I won't be there, but if you get some good pictures of the damage let us see them. Thanks Busch...Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"

Terry Beeson Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 BT22, I'll be working on an article for the Arkansas Wildlife Federation newsletter on that very subject. If you get some "good" pictures of the "bad" stuff, let me know if I can possibly use them in the article... Of course, you will get credit for the photos if I use them. John Berry Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Sadly, I fear that if we get the rain forecast for Saturday, you will be able to get the photos of the damage you are interested in. Any time it rains now the Norfork turns into a mud hole. John Berry OAF CONTRIBUTOR Fly Fishing For Trout (870)435-2169 http://www.berrybrothersguides.com berrybrothers@infodash.com
Members BuschTrout22 Posted February 26, 2007 Author Members Posted February 26, 2007 Sorry guys, I packed the camera, but the wife didnt charge the darn battery Two units online everyday from Thurs through Sat morning. On Sat morning they had 1 unit online. It was raining pretty good that day, and the tailwater was really murky. Fly fishing was absolutely worthless. Everyone that was in our camp caught their fish on countdown rapalas. One guy wound up cathing a nice cutthroat around 2 1/4 lbs. Overall fishing was not well at all, however it was still worth the trip to fish for four days. I think we may change our future destination to taney... This couldnt of been the place that I had been before that is for sure. Fishing just didnt seem right at all "Then in the Arctic half-light of the canyon, all existence fades to a being with my soul and memories and the sounds of the Big Blackfoot River and a four-count rhythm and the hope that a fish will rise." - Norman Maclean
