Blll Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 OK! The water level is around 1125 or so. I'm getting on the water. I think with hip boots I can get to my slip. Haven't been out since December. Anybody catching anything? Our board has been pretty quiet.
Stump bumper Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Give a report when you get back, heading out in the morning.
Blll Posted February 20, 2016 Author Posted February 20, 2016 Felt great to get back out (10am). Merc was a little slow to start but ran fine. WT 47. Terrible water color. Must be the wind but I think its muddier than last week. Had a great start with 2 spots in the first 50 yards on a wart. In about 10-12 fow mixed rocks. Nothing for the next 2 hours. But I got the kinks worked out, rods reset and had a drop dead great day.
jerry241 Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I was out on Wednesday no luck but again a great day got to run the boat work on rods etc. just couldn't stand it had to try. Yall keep your chin up spring is just around the corner
Stump bumper Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I ran to the back of PC, I forgot about the tournament there was little room to park but few boats in and around PC. I found the perfect school of gizzard shad and filled the livewell in one cast. Before that I had some threadfin and had spotted some large feeding fish but only one white hit out of that school, it was nice one about 18 inches long. After I had a 9in gizzard out and a 6inch off the other side, I did not find any fish even on the fish finder the rest of the day. The whites and striper have totally left PC, could have been the boat traffic, water color or maybe the run for the river has started. If anyone fished the river and found big fish please give my a PM if you don't want to post it. Highest water temp I saw today was 48.
