Bank Fishing Strip Pits

Hi all! Im only about 45min from most of the SEKS Strip pits. What is bank fishing access like? Espically on the trout pit but am open to others. Thanks

I used to work for kdwp and helped on the mined land wildlife area, it has been years, but trout pit can be fished from shore, however if you can get an old canoe or jonboat it will open up many opportunities in the pits.  There are some great fish in the pits, but some are better than others and there is a learning curve as they are nothing like the lakes and ponds we are used to fishing.

Haven't fished these pits in over 5 years, but it was always on private access. Looking to get back up there but don't know which ones are public access.

The trout pit has great access from the banks. However, Justin is right. If you're really wanting to get the best out of the pits a canoe or kayak would be ideal for getting around. Some pits you just cannot fish from the bank. In fact, a lot of them are that way. There's some great fish in those pits just give it some time and you'll figure out which pits you have the most success in and what patterns are working.
