Members pxsen Posted March 14, 2016 Members Posted March 14, 2016 Hi everyone, I am new to this area and studying at the University of Arkansas. Have been hearing from a lot of people at the UofA that this the best time to catch white bass. Can any of you guys please let me know where I can fish for white bass and what types of lures would be good? I don't have a boat or anything like that so, I will be fishing from the bank.
mosouthpaw Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Twin bridges at goshen lots of bank fishing opportunity there
hoglaw Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Go by Southtown sporting goods. They'll set you up. White rooster tails, rapalas, small jigs and swim baits will all catch them. Send me an email at Kyle.Unser@KutakRock.com and I will send you some Google Earth shots of where you can go.

Stump bumper Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 When they leave the river go to the RT 12 bridge just past Prairie creek Marina, they will run up on that flat until about the middle of May after dark.
bferg Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Some additional advice: go to twin on the weekdays. It gets crazy on the weekends. Skip some classes and hit the river. Someday you will be a working stiff like most of us- reading some Internet forum while you are locked in your office during the white bass run. I can promise you this- when that day comes you won't regret that you missed a couple of history lectures!

Thanks Stump bumper. Is there a parking spot there?

I sure can miss a couple of days of history classes for the fun!
