Dkman Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Heading up this Friday with the Yak. Had originally planned on hitting some feeder creeks for white bass, but, some of the recent posts note the crappie are starting to turn on in the lake. Not wanting any honey hole information, but, do you think I am too late for white bass up the creeks. Thanks for any input.
bassfisher Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 White bass are just now starting to head up into the river in The Creeks to spawn
Hunter91 Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Was out yesterday evening way up one of the creeks feeding the lake. Caught 6 whites and a 20 in eye. All the whites were males, the eye was a female. bassfisher 1
blacknoseddace Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Here comes that warm rain. Should be on fire. Tight lines! bassfisher and slab slinger 2
bassfisher Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 So when I caught these big females 2 weeks ago, it was at Coffman just off the road bed and the shad were in there.
bassfisher Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Ask Slab slinger he knows what's going on with the whites. And the crappie have been turning on around midnight and soon as daylight they shut down.
bassfisher Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 But that was last weekend, I'd say go early or late.
slab slinger Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Whites have been hit and miss in the little sac so far for me. It's still a little early yet but the warm rain today will help out some. The temps are looking not so good for my planned putting friday but this weekend is looking great. If we get a solid week of warm nights and 65 to 70 During the day it would do wonders for the crappie and whites. There's fish in the river but just not mass numbers yet. Heard the walleye bite has been good this week though in the river. Good luck. I'll post my trip friday. bassfisher 1
