TIGHT LINES, YA'LL

I googled those up about a year ago or so when I downloaded another steelhead fly, the sucker spawn. It's tied in a similar fashion using the pinch on method. I use sparkle braid for my sucker spawns. I tie the similar pattern with egg foo yarn. Egg yarn is too bulky to make many loops on top the hook so you can only make 2 or 3. It is the fly I call Eggs Bodacious that I sent in the last fly swap.

The link below shows sucker spawn. The website has crystal meth.

Yes and I know where you can buy them, I had a few given to me by the owner of the company and I took them down to my favorite Steelhead river, Taneycomo.(LOL).

I caught quite a few fish I think that it was because they had never seen this befor. Very easy fly to tie.

The Meth is my go to fly for Steelhead and Salmon, period. It will not work on Taney trout, though. I wouldn't even try it...

You're kidding right??? I think just about any fly will work on Taney trout given the right conditions. Or almost any trout stream for that matter. Granted some flies work better than others - but they ALL work.

We fish the lake erie tribs every winter for steelies, and this fly is one of our staples. This and the sucker spawn really kill them in the late winter early spring

Nope, they refuse to bite this fly.

I must disagree on the subject and agree with Greg. Even on my river in the middle of the stream in a stillwater area ive caught quite a few fish. I personally think it kinda looks like a bit of powerbait, and thats the main food source on our river, lol! Tell me why do you say that it wont work?

Terry I heard about this fly in Fly Fishermans article "6 easy eggs" they had quite a few. Very well written article and verfy informative.
