Members yummysmokedham Posted March 5, 2007 Members Posted March 5, 2007 I have a 97 Suzuki DT115 motor that I pulled the prop off to get it remanufacutred. It came off real easy, but when I got it back and am trying to install it, there are not enough splines sticking out to attach the spacer to it. any ideas what could cause this? My thought was maybe the hub could have somehow got pushed forward, is this possible? If it is how would I move it back, I thought maybe beating it with a rubber mallet? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Gary Lange Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I am wondering if they sent you back the wrong prop. If it came off that motor with no problem then it should go back on with no problem. It is hard to address such a problem without seeing it first hand. Is the thrust washer all the way down is another question. Respect your Environment and others right to use it!
Members yummysmokedham Posted March 5, 2007 Author Members Posted March 5, 2007 the thrust washer is all the way down, one thing I was curious about was if the inner part of the hub was suppose to be flush with the rest of the hub or if it is suppose to be sticking up 1/2 inch or so.
