Mike jones Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Put in at prairie creek at 9:00 PM and fished until 2:00 AM. Stayed in that general area. Bass fished half the time(that sucked) and crappie fished the other half of the time. Caught a few nice crappie under lights and 1 keeper walleye. A couple white bass also. What did we catch the most of you ask...???? Stripers. Yep, freaking stripers. Probably caught a dozen from 2-3 pounds on crappie jigs!! Lots of fun on a crappie rod but I would have rather caught 2-3 pound crappie!!!! Stump bumper, RyanG and Lance34 3
Stump bumper Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Really glad to hear there are lots of young stripers in the lake, just wonder how many get taken home as whites.

I would say with great certainty that 80% of people who catch them can not tell the difference between a small wiper/striper and a white bass. I've seen too many small stripers/wipers caught and kept thinking they were giant white bass. Reported a few too, but it is not enforced enough in my honest opinion.
Robert Haynes Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Also, many people confuse a small striper for a large hybrid. Just because they have a couple broken lines does not mean it is a hybrid.
