Bass

My club is possibly considering coming down in August, never been there at that time.  Are there bass to be caught at that time?  Just curious as to methods and how far can a bass boat run from Powersite up lake.

I would stick to the lower half from Bull Creek to Powersite/Empire Park. It's like fishing a weedy shallow lake this time of year. Flipping/pitching weed mats and docks, throwing a swimjig or hollowbody frog around the mats, and topwater (open water) early with the Whopper Plopper, Spook or popper. Spinnerbait is starting to get bit too.
